Intro: A fresh summer has begun, the spring season has ended, I bring you a review of a refreshing anime. Allow me to introduce you to lull of the sea, and waves of feelings. Despite it being quite average by the picture, the show explores the world of love, but not how you would imagine it...

Story: Long ago, there used to be one species of human that only lived under water. Due to humans longing to venture for the land, some humans left, venturing the mysterious surface. As time went on, there is now 2 species of humans established: those who live in the sea and those who live on land. We explore 4 best friends in middle school that are from, the mystical sea, in their conflicts of love, confusion and life

Characters and the Voices:
Chisaki Hiradaira- Motherly, understanding, from the Sea. Voiced By: Ai Kayano
Kaname Hisaki- Calm, the good looking guy, from the sea. Voiced By: Ryota Ohsaka
Tsumugu Kihara: Cool, collected, offers logical/inspirational advice, from the surface. Voiced by: Kaito Ishikawa
Hikari Sakishima-Hot-heated,passionate,stubborn. Voiced By: Natsuki Hanae
Manaka Mukaido: the cheery girl, indecisive, childish. Voiced by Kana Hanazawa

Music:
I can't help but to notice the beautiful music in this anime. The openings were decent, some cheery pop-music, The director of the music ALSO directed Anohana, Ano Natsu, Shakugan no Shana, Toradora which ALL have this vibe of mellow, peacefulness, simplicity, depressing and slightly dramatic tracks that flow very well and works according to the animation style that is presented to be somewhat Slice Of Life. The music includes noticable acoustic guitar, flowing violins, soft piano, cello playing, eery tones to forshadow, depressing and the vice versa cheery tones. This music is easy on the ears, and listening to this while just relaxing is so very fitting.

Artwork: The artwork is also seemingly perfect in this show. The atmosphere is very well drawn and with the certain, little ol' town setting the anime mostly takes place in. The show keeps a consistent well drawn average pace while fleshing out tears, rainbows, sunsets, certain scenes in the sea at certain moments to bring you in to the beauty and story. The artwork is eye candy, but in a way that the story doesnt lack comparing to it.

Final Comments and Enjoyment: I want to say this is one of the most beautiful anime series I've ever watched in a long while. It was dramatic, teary, and just an emotional roller coaster. The only problem I may have with this anime is how the anime introduces an average arch and how it shows it self as a Slice of Life, the story really gets going after you watch 6+ or so episode, anything before that is decebnt, watching all of it is worth it. Another thing I want to mention is how the characters seem average at first, later on as you watch, you see more depth in them, making them seem very much human AND relatable. Whether the first one you love is worth dedicating yourself to, whether "not giving up" is important, how change can be frightening but ok, letting someone go even when you love them, this anime touches on this well. The shows artwork, story, music tying into one another showcases great story telling. This tale of love, drama and young spirit should not be missed by anyone, I strongly urge to watch this one.
